Look What You’ve Done

Take my photo off the wall
If it just won’t sing for you
‘Cause all that’s left has gone away
And there’s nothing there for you to prove

Oh, look what you’ve done
You’ve made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Give me back my point of view
‘Cause I just can’t think for you
I can hardly hear you say
What should I do, well you choose

Oh, look what you’ve done
You’ve made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Oh, look what you’ve done
You’ve made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
A fool of everyone

Take my photo off the wall
If it just won’t sing for you
‘Cause all that’s left has gone away
And there’s nothing there for you to do

Oh, look what you’ve done
You’ve made a fool of everyone
Oh well, it seems likes such fun
Until you lose what you had won

Oh, look what you’ve done
You’ve made a fool of everyone
A fool of everyone
A fool of everyone

More dosages of Flashes of Random Thoughts

Disclaimer: The following post is just bits of my random thoughts. If you do not understand what the hell I am writing, you are not alone~~~

More random thoughts…

Random Thoughts No 9: Hey! T*IF!! (Thank whatever its Friday!) I never knew Friday was such a welcoming day. Think of the rest and crazy stuff that I can do for the next 2 days, its enough to keep me motivated to survive for the next few hours at work Hrm what shall I do this weekend?? *Ponder ponder ponder*

Random Thoughts No 10: There are 2 very interesting happenings for me tonight. Matthew has invited Jane and me to a piano recital! OMG! OMFG! I have never been to a piano recital before! Will I fall asleep? Am I able to appreciate it? I guess I am not the classy kind, but rather the crassy, uncouth type. (Yah yah, I heard your snigger, Wende) Okay, I shall drink more coffee before I go for the recital later in the evening Ha ha~~

After which, we may be going to Swissotel to welcome Andrew to Singapore!! (For the uninitiated and initiated, its THAT Korean Andrew, but not Andrew Stanley Heng.. Snigger snigger snigger) I bet SOME GIRL cant wait for him to arrive *Evil laughter*

Thats all for now I suppose so

From CITY to my LIFE

Regulars to my website may realize that there is a major facelift in my site design and theme. In case if you had not notice it, where have you been??!!

It’s time to do so. How long had I been using the previous design? 6 months? 1 year? I had no idea. Well, the choice of the new colour scheme (which is black), is not due to influence of one of my close friend (you know who you are heh), but the ‘feeling ah’ (Cantonese Chinese accent inclusive)~~ Ha ha~~

More on these later…

Ubin – Island Life, I Luv it!

When to Ubin yesterday with Suresh, Andrew and Shuyan… Or should I say, went with Suresh in the morning, with Andrew and Shuyan joining us after noon time??

Met Suresh and Khartini in the morning and had Nasi Lemak for breakfast… crap around Changi Village before Tini had to head back to school, but not before convincing her to play ‘traunt’… but with no success…

As Shuyan and Andrew is still far from destination, Suresh and me decided to make our way to Ubin first. It was an eye opener for me since this was my first trip to Ubin. Yes, I am 23 years old and this is my first trip, pathetic right?

Suresh suggested that we should walk instead of cycle, which I agree. Along the way, we crap, joke and chat. It was an indeed ‘male bonding’ session~~~ So much so that we got lost~~ And reached somewhere that looked like the island in the US hit drama, ‘Lost’. Nice place thou, without the ‘polar bear’ (I hope~~)

However, the hike was fruitful, after navigating for about 2 hours, we reached our oasis… Kekek Quarry… Of course, what we do naturally is to jump into the refreshing mineral water. Actually, another reason was to free ourselves from the commando mosquito who seems to be enjoying their buffet… Nevertheless, the scenary was beeeeeautiful. Did I mention that it just feels that we are at the outback or in some summer camp in USA? Woah…. All we need are tyres tied to the tree branch, sandwiches and ice cold lemonade… (Did I mentioned too that sometimes, we felt that although we are Asians, our thinking has been rather Westernized? Call us SPG – Sarong Party Guys, but do you think we care?)

Andrew and Shuyan finally came, with 2 fresh young coconuts. This is life.. dipping in the quarry, drinking the coconut. It has been a long time since I have been so relaxed. I guessed that yesterday was the much needed break that I have been waiting for. Why the need to go overseas where you can get to relax and enjoy at the doorstep of your home? This trip has been a nice change after been rushed and pushed around in the highly competitive concrete jungle of Singapore. There is nothing to worry(but the mosquito), you get to stay close of Mother Nature… while it lasts. It was a sad thing that developers plan to re-develop the area into a resort. That’s a big irony man. Why re-develop a place where it’s in the nature state when you want to attract people to go to enjoy the beauty of Nature? Just left it alone, for goodness sake~~~!!!

It has been a wonderful day for me, for such a long time…. and it was a wonderful ‘male bonding’ session with Suresh too, where we shared and talked a lot for the whole morning~~ Take care bro~~~

“When things change, people change…”

“When things change, people change, it doesn’t mean you forget the past or try to cover it up. It simply mean that you move on, and treasure all the memories”

This has been the most dramatic weekend I had. Dealt with living people and dead people. Yes, this may be the darkest entry in my blog you have ever seen so far.

“As you get older, you start attending lesser birthdays and more funeral”
My aunt passed away over the weekend. After a 10 years fight with the big C. I used to see TV programs mentioning that the big C is the No 1 killer in Singapore, and I always feel so disassociated with it. Now I feel the impact.

I am a bad nephew. I got jealous of her when my mum cooked her favourite food over the weekends for the past few years, I complained why my mum go there so often, I have been bad to my cousin, I quarreled with her …. I am bad. Now I know. How can I repay what she had done for me with what I had did? I resist looking at her for the first few days. Cos I know I will cry. But eventually, I did. I cried. And I cried and cried. In fact, I am crying as I am writing this blog. I thought that everything will be over after the funeral today. But obviously, it don’t. Life will not be the same anymore… Reunion dinner and New Year will be very very different… Who is the person I saw in the coffin? Is she really my aunt?… I remember my aunt as the one I saw during our reunion dinner. How she argued with my uncle about SMU vs NUS. I know she will looked at things differently. She had been a lot of support for me before her health detoriated. I still remember that photo, where my uncle and her carried me during their wedding night. I still don’t acknowledge who I saw in the coffin. I still don’t believe it’s her. I hope that what happened is really a bad nightmare. Yes, it’s cliche, but yup….

Uncle, I want to tell you this, but I don’t have the courage to do so… I will be a good nephew now, helping you to take care of your kids, be the big brother for them… … You have aged a lot during these few days, and I knew about how you suffered for these past few years. I will be here to help you lighten your burden… …

Now… about my dealings with the living…

well.. suddenly, it just don’t feel as important anymore. Whatever they say. Whatever they commented. Whatever they do. If they think whatever they do or say will satisfy them or feel good, so be it. It’s your choice.

“As we walk thru the friendship, there’ll be times you wouldn’t see me beside you. Don’t think I left you alone. I just choose to walk behind so I can hold you if you fall”

Before I sign off, something for the someone special in my life
“If I have a choice to choose what I’ll be in my next life, I’ll choose to be a tear, so that I can born in your eyes, live on your cheeks and die on your lips.”
