About 4:30 …

430hom.jpgJust finished watching 4:30 by Royston Tan. Bought the DVD this afternoon. Did not manage to watch it when it was on the big screen.fs_8days_hpfc-ad-430.jpg Apparently, I could not find anyone that can appreciate this movie together, and in the end, did not went to watch the move. All I can say, I regretted not watching it when it was on screen. It was a damn great movie.

It does not have the CGI SFX you see in blockbusters, nor the million dollars budget that entire you to get wow over. However, what it sells is the simplicity in the story telling. IT IS TELLING A STORY. And that’s very rare in movies nowadays. You have to watch the movie to know, and get in touch with the characters in the show.

Yes, you will not regret it.

Countdown!

dsc00882.JPGMade some countdown tags!

This makes some of the upcoming important dates! (Especially the second one.. *hint* *hint*)

Cannot wait for 21 December to come! Would be flying to TPE via Thai Air, then to BKK (again!) on 27 Dec, and finally, back to SIN on the last day of 2006! I guess expected to gain some weight for this trip due to food galore in these 2 countries… Hrm..

Anyway, contact Gary and Hsiao Xin regarding the trip and I guess there would be a lot of catching up with them when I am there! More shopping and eating expected!

Food For Thoughts

Thank You Dione For This Contribution!

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?”

Hands started going up.

He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.

He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill.

He then asked, “Who still wants it?”

Still the hands were up in the air.

Well, he replied, “What if I do this?”

And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.

He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.

“Now, who still wants it?”

Still the hands went into the air.

My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson.

No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.

Many times in our lives,we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.

We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE.

You are special – Don’t EVER forget it.

Why Did The Boy Throw The Clock Out Of The Window?

To see time flies…

~~~~lame~~~~
Time for me to have a ‘happy’ entry after the previous few entries.
Woah… 1 more month before school begins…
which means…
rushing from seminars to seminars…
facing through classmates (both good and bad) for projects again..
But I had not got all my modules!!!
HOW? HOW? HOW?
BTW: call me narcissistic, but I luuuuuurve this photo of mine..
Life’s A Journey
Watched ‘Cars’ last night.
In typical Pixar/Disney animation, loved the lessons behind the story. Somehow, I felt that it is very relevant to us.
When was the last time we stop and slow down and looked at the surroundings around us? When was the last time we ever cared for our friends?
As what the animation suggested, many sacrifice the ‘personal touch’ just for the mere 10 minutes of convienence. People nowadays care more on getting the job done rather then thinking of the ‘human touch’ behind it.
Yes, I admit that I had committed this err too.
In the journey of life, we may tend to take the express bus and speed through our journey to reach the destination. If we ever, ever, care to slow down, and appreciate the surroundings around us….
*Summer Summer*
Finally it’s the summer term…
It’s weird leh!
I had not been such relaxed since I began school. I was actually working part time DURING my final exams this time last year as the company I was with was urgently short-handed.
To think that I had time to go for tea at the V Tea Room (Read: tai tai alert!) today!
When was the last time when I have the chance to ‘slug’ myself oin a chair? Last year December at KL, and that’s not even in Singapore!
Let me enjoy the short moment of peace and relaxation before gearing up for more stuff ahead okay?
What Did You Do When You Are 3?
I don’t know either.
How do you celebrate a birthday for a 3 year old? I don’t know.
It have been centuries since I celebrated my 3 years old birthday.
By the way, it has been 3 years since I began blogging! (Actually, I guess it’s older, but the archives I have begins from April 2003, so we take this date has my blogging start date.)
It has been a long time… From ‘Jerry & the City’ to ‘Life As Jerry’… Perhaps it’s time to take on a new identity…. tonk&JERRY!
