Last Entry

This could be the last blog entry in limyishun.net.

4 years, 8 months and 26 days (28 April 2003) since my first ‘recorded’ entry (My first entry is far far earlier than this, say 2001, but I had lost the record), this blog, limyishun.net is, and could be going to the end.

Before you guys go into a panic and start asking me what’s wrong or anything bad happened, don’t worry, I am fine.

This decision, is purely a commercial reason.

Frankly speaking, a huge part of me doesn’t want this blog to go. This blog, has been accompanying me over these few years, watched me smile, cry and grow up. Memories recorded and archived at limyishun.net.

I am trying to find a suitable new home for this blog. Afterall, I can’t just ‘delete’ almost 5 years worth of memories, right?

Will keep you guys updated.

I Am Back~~!

food.jpg

Yup, I am B-A-C-K~~!

I am glad that I am back, especially on what happened in the 2 countries I went to… The southern part of Taiwan experienced an earthquake on the eve of my departure and the climate turned colder on the day of my departure; while Bangkok had bomb attacks on the evening/night of my departure…

Heng Ah~~~~ Must go and return my offerings soon for being blessed to escape these…

Anyway… The pics above is just an preview of what you are going to expect for the next few entries… Once I recoup my energy and stopped eating….

Countdown!

dsc00882.JPGMade some countdown tags!

This makes some of the upcoming important dates! (Especially the second one.. *hint* *hint*)

Cannot wait for 21 December to come! Would be flying to TPE via Thai Air, then to BKK (again!) on 27 Dec, and finally, back to SIN on the last day of 2006! I guess expected to gain some weight for this trip due to food galore in these 2 countries… Hrm..

Anyway, contact Gary and Hsiao Xin regarding the trip and I guess there would be a lot of catching up with them when I am there! More shopping and eating expected!

Jingle Bells….

Yes, it’s the festive season where the happiest people of all are the shops.. upon hearing the *cha ching!* non stop in their cash register..

Guess the shops are going to glee when they sees me in their shops too! Cos I have to buy Xmas present… Well, Xmas has been widely celebrated by many in Singapore, and religion is not the reason. It’s just the year-end fun! Just have fun, listen to carols, party, exchange present, re-inforce the friendship that you may neglected during the year…

Xmas Tree at Raffles City… Seems it looks great only at night.

[CK Tang]One of the best mall decorating last year.. and this year… They really throw in the money to get the money..

Citylink Mall.. Simply, but nice.. well, I guess you cannot do much in an underground shopping mall right? What’s more, it’s Singapore leh! Creativity is as common as seeing dinosaurs walking down the street!

Ah…..Another of my favourite.. Paragon.. me likely! It’s elegant (I think), and it gaves me a wonderful European ‘feeling’ ah… It makes me feel like I am in London… (*I know I am fantasizing, and London’s deco will be 2 to the power of 10 times much better…

Same old same old at Takashimaya.. Guess the first year when they had this ‘GIANT’ Xmas Tree, it was something new. As years goes by, it gets boring…. *Yawnz*

Ubin – Island Life, I Luv it!

When to Ubin yesterday with Suresh, Andrew and Shuyan… Or should I say, went with Suresh in the morning, with Andrew and Shuyan joining us after noon time??

Met Suresh and Khartini in the morning and had Nasi Lemak for breakfast… crap around Changi Village before Tini had to head back to school, but not before convincing her to play ‘traunt’… but with no success…

As Shuyan and Andrew is still far from destination, Suresh and me decided to make our way to Ubin first. It was an eye opener for me since this was my first trip to Ubin. Yes, I am 23 years old and this is my first trip, pathetic right?

Suresh suggested that we should walk instead of cycle, which I agree. Along the way, we crap, joke and chat. It was an indeed ‘male bonding’ session~~~ So much so that we got lost~~ And reached somewhere that looked like the island in the US hit drama, ‘Lost’. Nice place thou, without the ‘polar bear’ (I hope~~)

However, the hike was fruitful, after navigating for about 2 hours, we reached our oasis… Kekek Quarry… Of course, what we do naturally is to jump into the refreshing mineral water. Actually, another reason was to free ourselves from the commando mosquito who seems to be enjoying their buffet… Nevertheless, the scenary was beeeeeautiful. Did I mention that it just feels that we are at the outback or in some summer camp in USA? Woah…. All we need are tyres tied to the tree branch, sandwiches and ice cold lemonade… (Did I mentioned too that sometimes, we felt that although we are Asians, our thinking has been rather Westernized? Call us SPG – Sarong Party Guys, but do you think we care?)

Andrew and Shuyan finally came, with 2 fresh young coconuts. This is life.. dipping in the quarry, drinking the coconut. It has been a long time since I have been so relaxed. I guessed that yesterday was the much needed break that I have been waiting for. Why the need to go overseas where you can get to relax and enjoy at the doorstep of your home? This trip has been a nice change after been rushed and pushed around in the highly competitive concrete jungle of Singapore. There is nothing to worry(but the mosquito), you get to stay close of Mother Nature… while it lasts. It was a sad thing that developers plan to re-develop the area into a resort. That’s a big irony man. Why re-develop a place where it’s in the nature state when you want to attract people to go to enjoy the beauty of Nature? Just left it alone, for goodness sake~~~!!!

It has been a wonderful day for me, for such a long time…. and it was a wonderful ‘male bonding’ session with Suresh too, where we shared and talked a lot for the whole morning~~ Take care bro~~~
